Road to Hire is dedicated to serving underemployed high school graduates in the Charlotte metro area. We believe everyone deserves an education — and the chance to succeed.

All Road to Hire career tracks are full-time positions, including paid training. After completing the program, Road to Hire graduates are eligible for full-time employment near Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tech Track

The Tech Track prepares graduates for careers in web design or web development. Tech students learn coding and other valuable skills via classroom instruction and hands-on training.

Sales Track

The Sales Track prepares graduates for careers in sales or customer service. Sales students learn professional skills in the classroom and work closely with Charlotte-area professionals to hone their craft.

Sales Track, Class of 2016

Prior to Road to Hire, Lauren was working at the mall in a retail position. Upon graduating the Sales Academy, Lauren accepted a role as an Inside Sales Professional at Red Ventures.

Unlike most people who apply to
Road to Hire, Chuck was not a new high school graduate when we received his application. He had recently been medically discharged from the U.S. Navy. He didn’t have a technical background, but he didn’t let that stop him.

“Road to Hire opened my mind to a career in technology. It gave me valuable skills and professional experience.”

Before applying to Road to Hire, Katherine was interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, but the cost of college was a major barrier. Katherine completed the Road to Hire Tech Academy and accepted a job offer from Red Ventures after graduation. One year later, she received a scholarship to Wake Forest University, where she’s now studying full time.

“Road to Hire gave me a hands-on learning opportunity and allowed me to focus on what I’m best at: coding and problem solving. I have learned more about computer science from this program than I did in school and best of all, I enjoy it!”

When Bejoy applied to Road to Hire, he was working a part-time job and was a full-time student, but he didn’t feel motivated in the classroom environment. Bejoy is now working full-time as a Junior Engineer at Red Ventures.
